Are you ready to hear the truth about DOVE? For years I was using their product and one day realized how dangerous they were to my health by doing a research on the ingredient list on the wesbite skin deep. That was a real wake up call!
I also believe my chronic cystitis was directly linked with the use of the soap dove. Once I stopped using it, my chronic cystitis disappeared…Its been years now since I had one and I am really thankful I found the root of the problem before it was too late and I needed to get an operation.

So you wonder why they use those harmful chemicals?
There are several reasons:
The shelve life of the product would be reduced to only a few months instead of years.
They would lose a lot of money with unsold products in all their retails stores if they had to restock every few months.
Using natural and organic quality product is expensive so they only use very little of it to reduce the cost of the product and to have a better margin.
Chemicals are VERY cheap which allows them to have a bigger margin and make more profit; in the end its ALL about Money over health…
Some of the chemicals used produce lots of foam and consumers have been brainwashed thinking that whatever foam cleans.
These chemicals have been used since the creation of said products, 1938, and have been “grandfathered” into use by the FDA, with no new laws introduced since then…
Conclusion: read labels, inform yourself, be a smart consumer and start making your own beauty products at home!
Remember that your skin is the largest organ in the body; what you put on your skin is absorbed directly into your bloodstream.

Whilst at university I bought the Dove intensive cream body lotion for very dry skin, and it has been awful. It leaves my skin with a silicon layer without moisturising the skin. After reading about all the harmful chemical like PEG and Triethanolamine it further empathise that the cream isn't doing its job. Do you have any cheaper alternative that dont contain these chemicals you have listed above.
the best way is to make your own moisturizer! You can simply buy bulk oil like jojoba, amond or shea butter. The cost may be a little more at the beggining but you are buying in larger quantity. Take a look at the recipes on my blog, plenty to choose from! In the end you will save money and I would say health has no price so best to stay away from all those commercial body lotion that are loaded with chemicals.
My husband brought a 1 Litre bottle of Dove body wash for himself believing it was natural 4 days ago.. i complained immediately of the smell causing me nose & throat irritation & soreness and making me sneeze & cough skin irritation and then my breathing effected. He continued for 4 days against my complaining.. upon each day i have been worse.. tonight i told him how seriously effected i am and needs to get rid of it... i have just googled the product and told him to read about it. He has rushed off to shower himself off and now i have been reading how harmful it can be. This product needs to be banned before someone dies. I will be reporting it to health authorities as well as my physician. Can't believe the company wants to be responsible.
its indeed crazy to find this kind of product is available on the market and approved to be sold!
