My essential oil blend has only 3 essential oils, ylang-Ylang, vanilla, and cardamom essential oil, you can make it in just 10 min! Ancient Egyptians have been great perfume makers. We have some documents recording that Cleopatra was very fond of Neroli for its aphrodisiac qualities. It was said that the sails of the boat she traveled on to Rome were soaked in the neroli essential oil, so Mark Anthony could know she was coming before he could see her!
Another interesting anecdote for you on the power of plants: Sherazade of The Arabian Nights, refers to the aphrodisiac properties of coriander when she mentions how a concoction made from it was able to cure a merchant who’d been unable to have a child for 40 years.
