Argan oil has been used for centuries by Moroccan woman to reduce wrinkles and hydrates the skin… they call it “liquid gold”. Argan oil is full of rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, carotenoids, ferulic acid, sterols, polyphenols, vitamin E and squalene.

Hi Eve, I really like using this cream on my face and am happy with the results, however I do find it a bit greasy although I use a minimal amount and have dry skin. Is there something I can add to the recipe to reduce this a little? Thanks
Eve, the link for the rose geranium oil in the recipe takes me to a link in Amazon for just geranium oil. Is there a difference?
Hello, Can I add vitamin E to perserve the essential oils longer? If so, how much Vitamin E should I use?
You don't need vitamin E as the self-life is 6 months (depending on the shelf life of the butter and oil you use. If you want to add vitamin E, 3 drops are all you need.
Could i use jojoba oil or another combination of carrier oils. Will i need to adjust measurements.
you could replace the argan oil by jojoba oil and no need to make extra adjustments.
Do I need to melt lightly the Shea butter first before whipping? Can I use apricot oil and aloe Vera instead of the other 2 oils,as I have sensitive, combination skin? Your recipes look perfect, thank you!
Hi Clare, no need to melt the shea butter for this recipe. You could use apricot oil instead of argan oil and camellia seed oil. If you add aloe vera, that will make it hard to whip and not have the same consistency. Also because you are introducing water content (aloe vera) it will spoil easily so you would have to keep it in the fridge. I would not put more than a teaspoon of aloe vera to start.
hai sister... instead of palmarosa essential oils can we use any other essential oils?.. please suggest which suits best for oily skin instead of palmarosa essential oils...thanks alot for your awesome receipes and your precious time
you could use lavender essential oils or neroli essential oils but the latter is expensive! If you don't have those, you can just use frankincense and rose geranium.
Update. I used this cream last night and when I woke this morning the difference in my skin was amazing. I had to go find and put my glasses on to see if what I was seeing was real. LOL The fine lines were almost unnoticeable and that little crepeiness stuff that's starting (I'm 63 after all) was almost gone. This cream is like a miracle in a jar to me. You've got to make it and try it! Thank you, thank you for this recipe.
wow! glad that worked out for you Pamela :-)
please share the love!
Love this! I'm scraping bottom here on my supplies, so, I had to use Red Raspberry seed oil. I love that the cream fluffed up and it soaks in so fast. Thank you for the great recipe and Happy Easter.
Hi Eve! I'm new to DIY beauty and learning a lot. Thanks so much for sharing your recipes. I tried the face chantilly with shea butter and argan oil but used sunflower oil in place of camellia seed oil. I wonder if that is where I went wrong, as my blend doesn't want to soak in to my skin and seems to just sit on the surface feeling greasy. Ideally, I'm looking for an easy recipe that I can make for face and body but I do take your point about argan oil being a bit expensive for this! I have combination ageing skin that is rather thirsty in winter! Thanks again, Carrie

Hi Lisa, yes they are slightly different but both works. I prefer the rose geranium https://organic-beauty-recipes.com/rose-geranium-essential-oil

Camellia seed oil helps not being greasy. You can apply at night too for extra moisture! If its for the face, I love using my DIY face serum with anti aging essential oils: https://www.organic-beauty-recipes.com/diy-face-serum-recipe-anti-wrinkles-with-essential-oils/
Its not greasy at all!
Hi Eve, raw shea butter is often grainy. If it is grainy to start with, will the whipping get rid of the graininess? Thank you
Hi Karin, what kind of shea butter do you use? I use organic refined shea butter and never have this grainy problem.
