African Black Soap Recipe Melt And Pour

The easy way of making black soap with simple ingredients!

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup black soap melt and pour base
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil OPTIONAL
  • 2 tsp organic mango butter OPTIONAL
  • 1 tbs calendula flowers OPTIONAL

Method
 

  1. Cut the black melt and pour soap base into small cubes so they melt faster.
  2. Add them to your double boiler on low to medium heat (basically an aluminum or pyrex recipient in another pan filled with warm water)
  3. Add the mango butter if desired.
    Continue steering until the soap base is melted.
  4. Add the essential oil and the calendula petals. Stir well. This is optional.
  5. Once melted, remove from the heat.
  6. Pour in the silicone mold of your choice.
  7. Spray pure alcohol on top of the soap to get rid of the bubbles if any.
  8. Let dry and cool down for 24h hours before un-molding. Voila, its ready to use!
